Otherwise i guess, hacking this game is just way beyond my level If there is anyone out there, who can shed some light upon this craziness, i'd appreciate it. that didn't work after restarting the gameĪnd the third time i just couldn't find a pointer at all. ?!Īlso the first two times i've been able to find a static pointer (looking like this: wow64cpu.dll+XXXX ) The first two times current hp was stored in a 4byte address, the third time it was a 2byte address. I dont know why it sometimes works, but most of the time not. I've been able to get the address for current hp 3 times. 30 times of trying (restarting the area or changing the area entirely in between) However, searching for "exact value" did produce results.sometimes. Yeah.so i feel pretty stupid about that one Since i've been playing with controller all the time, i didn't know it's actually possible to see the exact value of hp left.Ī buddy of mine, whos been playing with keyboard, pointed out that i could just hover the mouse over the healthbar to see the exact numbers. Posted: Sun 3:03 pm Post you for the hint! tomorrow i'm gonna experiment with doubles a little more then. Last edited by Guunocha on Sun 5:25 am edited 1 time in total So, anyone here who is/has been playing the game too and could give me some pointers? (pun semi-intended) in case current health is being stored as a difference.īut that didnt produce any results at all. I've also tried to reverse my process and search for "incr value" upon taking DMG. Unfortunately all the addresses seem to fluctuate randomly, so that the only thing i've found is said useless address. ![]() Take DMG, search for "decr value", take DMG, "decr value", heal myself, My MO so far has been to start with a search for "unkwn init value" in "all" Only thing i've been able to come up with is an address that seems to represent the current percentage of health left. i cant find an address for current health! Hey guys, is anyone here playing Victor Vran (v.2.07) ? In short: i can't really tell whats going on or how to find a good accesspoint for making a change. ![]() So to me it just looks like it's putting addresses into registers and registers in other registers and it's really just mixing up like crazy. ^^' there are basically just "mov"s used on registers and their addresses, no offsets at all. On the other hand, i'm a total assembly noob. (checked by using "find what addresses this instruction accesses") so changing anything there is just instantly crashing the game. Unfortunately the opcode i get from "finding out what writes to this address" is also handling a large number of different addresses Until now I haven't been able to find a working pointer.Ĭlosest i got was a pointer, which seemed to have a variable offset.īy that i mean, it always pointed to an area close to the new address, but not directly at it.Īnd the discrepancy in distance to the new address was of variable size.īecause of that, i rummaged through some asm/aob tutorials around here and on youtube. that address is being changed constantly in random intervals (probably based on time and/or number of times being hit) current health is stored in a 2byte address Update to make this thread more to the point: Game: Victor Vran (v.2.07, Overkill Edition) Posted: Sun 6:04 am Post subject: Anyone playing Victor Vran? could use some help.
